The cost of glass blowing is enough to make you bat an eye and clutch your pearls but when comparing Morris County with neighboring schools; they are most affordable. With that being said, the experience is worth the price tag. My husband and I took a 3 hour class and were able to make several pieces. Our instructor was both knowledgeable and patient, letting us know our limitations without making us feel limited when it came to creating. The entire class we got to be hands on ! Several safety precautions against C 19 were in place, including mouth covers for when we needed to blow the glass. The lockers and restrooms were clean and they are near lots of places to eat. I see no reason not to choose Morris County School of class for a unique and memorable experience

Took a mini session for Valentine’s Day and had the most wonderful time! Justin was our instructor and he was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was excellent with explaining the process and doing everything possible to keep you comfortable and still as involved as possible. I would definitely recommend taking a class, it was a very fun experience and very hands on. We will definitely be back to create some more beautiful and unique pieces!

What a fantastic experience!! MCSG is a great facility run by friendly and talented artists. My first class (making pumpkins!) was lead by Jill. She was super patient and informative, and basically got me hooked on manipulating super hot “honey” like glass. After that, working with Carly to get a few private lessons on the calendar was great. Since then, I’ve done 6 lessons with Jon Z, and man is he a great instructor. I’m on to making big vases and all kinds of cool things. The wife says I’ll have to start giving them as gifts as I now have a bit of a gallery in the living room. :) I highly recommend trying a beginner class to get your hands on molten glass, I promise you won’t forget it. They are very careful about covid precautions, and because of how hot the furnaces are, the air movement is impressive, making it a super safe facility. Thank you for opening this up Arnie!!!!

Had an amazing experience this past weekend. Justin was the instructor who led my group and he was so friendly and a great teacher, explaining all the steps and how everything comes together. They do let you have a good level of involvement with shaping and making your piece. I created a few seasonal items that I’m excited to use everyday! They took all the sanitary precautions for COVID and created a comfortable atmosphere. I just wish they were more forthcoming with mixing up different colors, but otherwise, the 3 hour class exceeded my expectations and I’d love to come back for another. I would say it’s expensive, but definitely a unique experience that makes up for the cost. Plus, it’s an art form that is truly specialized and I appreciate the dedication of everyone who works there in keeping the craftsmanship alive.
