I am delighted with the work by George. He has been a pleasure to work with. He is communicative, detailed, easy to get hold of, kept me updated on the progress of the work. I was truly was wowed by how he was able to refinish our floors which had damage from the day-to-day living, a lot of sun (all those east windows) and two bouncing large dogs. The floors look new and spectacular.

I highly recommend GB Hardwood Flooring. George and his Brother were very nice and professional. From the estimate to the end of the job they were on time and reasonable in price. I had 3200sqft home, hallway and stairs restored and refinished in my 30 year old home. They were not afraid to tackle the repair work on my old floors where other contractors shied away. George and his team did a fantastic job refinishing the hardwood floors on the upstairs level of our 125 year old Chicago home. We called GB Flooring -- and a handful of other places -- for an estimate on a Friday and George came out the next day to inspect the floors and provide a quote. The estimate he provided was -- to our surprise -- very affordable and within our budget for the project. George was also very helpful in explaining finishes and options to us. Bonus: he said they could start within a couple days, which was great for us as we had yet to move into the house. His team showed up promptly at 7:00am on day 1 and worked a 10-hour day to get all the floors sanded and put on a first coat of the oil based finish. They came back the next morning bright and early to finish and were done by noon! We were impressed by the whole operation and appreciated that the team was very COVID-friendly. Our floors are absolutely gorgeous and high quality. George helped us pick the right finish (satin, oil based) so the floors would be pet-friendly for our goldendoodle and doesn't show scratches. We also chose not to stain our floors to keep with the original finishes/feel throughout the home. We have original oak floors in the upstairs hallway and yellow pine in the bedrooms. We love the natural look and finish. We would recommend GB Flooring to anyone who is refinishing their hardwood floors and we will definitely be using them again in the future.

I have used GB hardwood flooring inc on two occasions now to repair, sand, and stain two of my rental units. After contacting multiple contractors to compare, GB hardwood flooring offered the best price and their quality of work is outstanding. I used their services in May of 2020 and again January 2021. If anyone needs quality work done, they are the ones to go to. They are friendly, punctual, knowledgeable, and keep in touch every step of the way. I plan to use them again in the near future.
