Really busy place with friendly personnel. Food wise could’ve been much better. Pear salad was just handful of arugula with two slices of pear on top with no oil or dressing; Doppio Zero pizza has a very dry dough and very plain content wise; came cold due to cooking recipe. THANK YOU Francesco for rescuing the place and replacing it with Salsiccia pizza that was a bit better flavor wise and more moist.

If you’re going to try any restaurant on Castro, make sure it’s Doppio. The hip ambiance, the authentic food, and the warm service are UNPARALLELED and make for such a great dinning experience. They have a full-service bar and a great outdoor setup inclusive of a tent and heaters that accommodates COVID requirements. I have tried everything on the menu, but my favorites are the margarita pizza and calamari to start off and the Garganelli and Ravioli dinners. I usually order both and enjoy with whoever I’m with. They have an excellent wine menu to pair with any meal on the menu. Finish off strong with any of their decadent desserts (depending on what mood your in). Aside from being one of the tastiest Italian restaurants on the Peninsula, what really sets them apart is their service. From the manager down to the busser, the entire team is super attentive and detail oriented. I would highly recommended this spot for any occasion,

Fantastic and authentic. They cook it in a brick oven I'm guessing because it has that taste. Kinda burnt but not quite. Perfection! Better than most of the pizza I had in Italy.

Everything we have tried on the menu thus far is absolutely delicious. This has been our third time here for brunch and the staff is always sweet and accommodating. Definitely coming again.
