I have eaten at many L&L’s here in the bay and in Hawaii. Today I tried this one again and was reminded why I didn’t like it in the past. I got a chicken katsu plate with brown rice and mac salad. Rice was dry and a bit crunchy. Mac salad was bland and very different than other L&Ls. The chicken was so dried out that not even the dipping sauce could save. Yeah sure the servings are big, but doesn’t matter if the food isn’t very good.

Food was pretty good. I got the BBQ Mix Platter. They give you generous portions. You can also ask for low carb options. They will replace rice with salad and eggs.

Pretty Tasty...reasonably priced....lots of options on the menu like chicken, beef, seafood, veggies, and sides. They have a Healthy Menu list. The food is Polynesian Hawaiian meats and veggies. During this COVID-19 time as of fall 2020...they are take out and delivery only with apps like Door Dash. Only real complaint I have is somewhat slow to get the order ready---but the food quality is high for quick service. Brings back positive sentimental memories from my student days in Hawaii as this is a well-known popular chain in Hawaii! :)

The food is always substantial and hardy, good stuff. No issues with this place and it serves its purpose of providing solid meals at affordable prices. Good place.

Pretty sure my family got food poisoning from the pasta salad. Best case scenario, it gave us an extended stomach ache. Either way, the food was fairly bland and not very good.
