Absolutely loved this place! Cozy atmosphere with delicious food. We had the beef & celery pan fried dumplings, they were cooked great with just the right amount of crunch. We had the Lamb skewers as well, they were so tender & the seasoning was a great compliment to it. The marinated egg was very delicious! They offered us chicken wings as an off menu item (I think something new they are trying) & they were delicious! I haven't tasted chicken wings like it, but it they were salty in an interesting way that's hard to describe topped with toasted sesame seeds, cooked perfectly too. Everything we ate was delicious, eating at Mr. Bian Dumpling is definitely an experience rather than just a bite to eat.

Ordered the pork bao and the shrimppork dumplings. They were both tasty and freshly made. For me the real winner was the hot and sour soup, I had to ask for an extra bowl. Excellent service too.

Everything I tried was great, and at a good price. I especially liked the garlic pork belly skewers and the laobian dumplings. Highly recommended for anyone in the U district.

Never can trust restaurants that just have opened but this place is pretty good. Good price. Dumplings what ever they told me was good.

The restaurant is a famous chain restaurant from China. So my wife and I have high expectations before we went. The dumplings taste bad and not fresh. The appetizer is also not fresh... Highly doubt if this is the authentic chain restaurant from China.

Orders some take out, laobian dumplings, boiled pork and shrimp dumplings, beef triple. Let's start with beef triple, the flavor is ok, no strange smell like I've tried in other restaurants, but, it was very salty, I had to boil the triple in water to get rid of the excessive saltyness, not recommended. Pork and shrimp dumplings actually are very tasty, the skin is on the chewy side, that's what I expect, the saltyness is good for me, and the ratio between pork and shrimp is great, recommend. Last, laobian dumplings, steamed is the only option. The skin is on the hard side which I was expecting to be on the soft side like their competitors, the filling is very greasy, when I took the first bite, the oil not soup flows out of the dumpling, I literally waited for the oil to stop flowing out, the spice in the dumplings has unfamiliar flavor, the filling is on the salty side, but, acceptable. The girl who took my order was very friendly and explain everything to me, thumbs up to her. The overall experience is ok, but, the flavor is a lot different than all the dumplings I've tried in NY, CA, TX...etc. since the taste is very personal, I am giving 4 stars. One suggestion, please reduce the saltyness in the beef tripe.
