This place is horrible. My brand new truck was damaged in the wind storm and not drivable. So obviously needed a rental which my insurance covers. I called Hertz they had a rental available. Picked the rental up the next day had to put air in the tire, no big deal until it happened the following 2 days. I finally called not wanting to sound like a terrible customer but they asked me if I had taken it to Les Schwab...ummmm really is that my job. Aren't they suppose to make sure the vehicle is in good condition and dealing with my own life I didn't think I needed to deal with that. So they told me we could swap out the rental...OK fine but very inconvenient because they said they would bring it to me and then the next person said no they wouldn't. So I get there to pick it up and the guy has no idea what he is doing I had to tell him what keys went to what and he had written the wrong miles on the key tags. He had to call a guy at another office to help him out. Finally get it done and he knows I work in a cannabis shop... work there not use! I get home is 4 hours later I get a call and he tells me his boss said if the car smells of cannabis they can't rent to me. This was after he had already rented the prior car to me smelling like cannabis... it was ok to rent a vehicle to me smelling like cannabis but they won't be able to rent this one to someone else... something wrong there!! Driving the new car that needed a service for oil over 5,000 miles ago plus the tabs went dead June 2020... thank goodness my truck will be fixed Friday. Will never deal with Hertz again!!

In all of my history of business dealings, I have never dealt with such an inexperienced, heartless, and rude manager in all of my life. I am a business woman, respectful and courteous to everyone unless I am sliced down. This manager was not willing to help me with a reservation I had made online. He refused to take my Mississippi driver's license since my credit card in hand had my former last name. I then presented him with the proof of identity by showing him a state ID with my former name, as he requested. The manager then accepted, decline me, accepted and declined again stating that my card wouldn't scan. I presented to him a new card. He did everything in his power to turn my business away. His attitude and actions were that of a three year old. I'm pretty sure it's because he either leased my car to someone else or since I received a 14 PER DAY deal online, that possibly he wouldn't make any money. I'm not sure but he was absolutely the worst dealer I had ever dealt with. He didn't mind sending me out of the door without a way to go. I so nor recommend this \manager\ and location to anyone. I did report the business to Hertz. To top it all off, the place had the most horrible sewer smell. I will never go back to the location and I do not recommend that you do! Oh, I walked over to ENTERPRISE and they were top notch! I will be rating Enterprise with a rating deserved and if I had a choice here, I would most definitely rate less than 1.

This has been a terrible experience! We rented the car at Sea-Tac to drop it at the Herz Mt. Vernon, WA location. The vehicle was dropped off on April 30, one day earlier than it was due. Hertz still has not reported this car turned in and we can’t reach anyone at this location. And Hertz keeps charging 100 to my credit card every day. We’ve left several voicemails at this location with no return calls and now their VM box is full. I’ve called Hertz Customer Service three times and all they will tell me is they can send an email to the location to close the contract. They won’t give me a name of a manager and won’t send me an email to confirm my conversations. Noone at the location could close out the rental and we were told by a woman named Zina, (sp) she was on her way out the door but would make sure the rental was closed. I have rented vehicles from Hertz for years and never been treated so poorly.
