I feel weird reviewing my place of work, but Google asked. I love my job. Valero emphasizes safety over everything else. It is hard to get fired here (or so I've heard), but it is also hard to get hired. I can't speak to problems with personnel because not everyone's experiences can be consistent with mine (we are human beings). I like everyone I work with :) They do hair follicle drug tests. If that is a problem, don't bother applying. There are a lot of rules regarding safety (makes sense to me). If you've committed a safety violation you will get fired on the spot.
They are a good company with competent management but do require people to show up and work. From talking to the employees most of the disgruntled ex employees dont like to follow rules and show up to work
This employer cares about no one or nothing. They allow unethical and illegal actions to be done at the workplace. Everyone turns a blind eye knowing what’s being done is wrong! They have a lot of people from south Posey county with backdoor mentalities! Can’t keep none because the company lacks the competency to hire decent people including upper management. Most workers there are Sabic rejects that got fired! Don’t believe me apply and you’ll see!
