This is the best shed rental place in the north end by a mile. It's affordable and comfortable and reliable and just of Mukilteo speedway. The owner is a musician too, so he understands what's up.

If you are a lonely musician or already in a band & can't play at your home or a band members home without getting police called, neighbors leaving passive aggressive notes or tearing families apart with your sweet freakin riffs I cannot recommend Vortex enough. Decent sized rooms, fair pricing per month, clean facility, cool atmosphere, quality in house studio & engineer, 24 hour secure access.

Ahhh, Vortex. First, a couple of disclaimers: 1. I'm not a musician/client myself so this review is from a layperson's standpoint. 2. I've only been to two or three recording/rehearsal studios in the area, so I'm not well versed in these types of businesses. Vortex is pretty awesome. Sure, there's no heat outside the individual rooms and as far as I know, you have to have your own heaters in the rehearsal rooms themselves, but there are a couple of areas to sit and relax - couches and a vending machine - so all in all, it's a pretty cool place. Add in the fact that there are restrooms WITH toilet paper, running water, paper towels and hell, even magazines, and you're looking at one of the better rehearsal spaces in the area. Rent seems extremely reasonable and on par with other rehearsal rooms (for example, Studio 7, with which I'm intimately familiar and which doesn't hold a candle to Vortex). Everyone is friendly too, so another plus. Definitely a good place to hang out on practice night.
