Such a hidden little gem. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. We made the day trip from Whiting and will definitely come back again

A wonderful and amazing place to visit with kids. This includes museums and farms at the Prophetstown. We visited them and spent around three hours there. The house has a lot of amazing old stuff. Some of them are very interesting. The friendly staff helped and described the items with details. I highly recommend the museums. The kids however, loved the live animals much more. It was delightful to walk among ducks, chickens, turkeys, and to check their lovely houses. They also liked the barns, horses, cows, pigs, pony, rabbits, the cat, and the baby sheep. However, they could improve the presentation of old equipment and tools.

We had so much fun, the staff was friendly, the grounds were clean and they had fun little activities for us to participate in.

The homes are beautiful! The farm is well maintained and almost everything there is interactive. The volunteers are friendly and knowledgable. The kids had fun exploring and seeing all the animals. The Blacksmith was a favourite of theirs. I think they are only at the Blacksmith on the weekends, check before going if that is what you are interested in.

We watched the historic game today. It was cool to see the old rules in action.
