I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Being new to town and after having visited a few art museum in the cultural cities of the world.… I wasn’t sure what to expect from Muskegon. But it’s quite nice. I went for the Ansel Adams exhibit and enjoyed all the rest of it as well. I look forward to going back.

This museum has an excellent glass exhibit as of July 2020, and many other very interesting exhibits displaying West Michigan artists, as well as nationally renown native american photographers and exhibits. There is also a good blend of local young artists. Lots of photography, painting, pottery, and sculpture.
This is a great museum. Small, but packed with beautiful art of many different mediums. I was so impressed I became a member on my first visit. Highly recommended.
The MMA is such a gem in our community. I went to the postcard sale recently and the staff was taking necessary safety precautions to make sure everyone was safe. The staff is always friendly, the building is gorgeous, the permanent collection is impressive, and the rotating art is always intriguing. The Muskegon Museum of Art is a class act.
