My experience was okay. The acupuncturist and the receptionist were nice people and professional. However I did not get the same level of consultation that other reviewers describe here. My “consultation” was all of two minutes before we went into the room and the acupuncturist started to pin the needles (about 8-10) without any explanation of what he was about to do or anything until I asked why. It seems as if he was maybe in a hurry to go home or close the business (I’m not sure). The needles stayed in for about 30 minutes. Cost me 95. I was hoping for some relief by the time I got home or something different but really, it didn’t do anything for me.

I had strained my neck playing with my kids in the pool on Saturday. Soon the pain radiated to my shoulder and back so much that I had trouble sleeping and getting out of bed. It hurt to turn my head. I knew it had to be a muscle spasm in my neck and back so I desperately searched for an acupuncturist on Google Maps as we were due to drive 6 hours on our way back home from vacation. Thankfully I found Howard who works 7 days a week! I messaged him and he called me back first thing in the morning to confirm the appointment. He was the only person available on a Sunday near Myrtle Beach. He did his acupuncture thing and I was able to turn my head again so we were able to drive to Richmond, Va last night, about 6 hours. There was no way I could have driven without the acupuncture. The pain persisted through much of today however it is now slowly dissipating thanks to Howard disrupting the muscle spasm. I probably could have used another session or two but it will have to wait until I get back home. Howard, thanks again for your help and for working on a Sunday!!

A good acupuncture clinic, when I visited. I recently had an acupuncture treatment from Dr. Wong, and it was a positive experience. The booking was easy and straightforward; and the facility, clean and orderly. Upon my arrival, I found both the receptionist and the doctor to be friendly and accommodating. As for the session itself, it, too, was fully satisfying, beginning with an involved consultation, followed by an equally thorough treatment, from which I saw results almost immediately. Finally, the price was reasonable, and I had no problems. Overall: pleasing in every way, and I plan to return for future treatment. My sincere thanks to Dr. Wong and everyone else at HW Acupuncture, for providing this service. Keep up the good job :-)
