I am visiting Myrtle Beach now & staying at Cabana Shores. It's been a beautiful week & sitting by the ocean was made SO much nicer by not having to lug the chairs & umbrella to the beach & back. Just a nice walk & it's all set up for you. It may cost a bit more than buying your own but not much and when you're flying home you can't take it with you anyway Hannah was the lifeguard on duty today - she was positive, upbeat, so helpful & accommodating. She made my day so easy compared to trying to do it myself yesterday! Thank you Miss Hannah!! & Shawn (Sean?) Who gave me the info about the rentals on my sunrise walk this morning Thanks again guys - Reese

During our vacation at Myrtle beach I had an irritating encounter with one of your lifegaurds. While we were on the beach my son's ball blew away from our chairs and up to the fence a short way away. When we noticed it he walked off to go get it but before he got there the two lifegaurds sitting there talking grabbed it and popped it before he got there. He was a little upset and before I could walk up to the lifegaurds they drove off. I have never been to another beach where I had to worry about the lifegaurds throwing away my kids toys. It seemed rude and unnecessary as I didn't see them doing anything about the actual trash that was left on the beach. Your lifegaurds should spend more time watching the water and not trying to ruin some childs day.

This best customer service i’ve ever received. The lifeguard was extremely attentive to the water, and extremely friendly. If i could give them 10 stars i definitely would!!

My family and I are visiting for the week, and we're amazed that a private company- John's Beach services- is who the city entrusts its visitors safety to on the beach. They clearly have no training and spend more time chatting than watching swimmers. I was absolutely appaled that the only way to have a spot next to a lifeguard and use an umbrella was to pay 40 a day we spoke to a supervisor who mentioned That the city has an ordinance that makes this the case. We have a son with special needs and wanted to have an umbrella for shade, and d direct view of him in the water. Not possible as the umbrellas are set up at 8 am and you are not allowed to set up before they build their \line\ of umbrellas blocking everyone from seeing. the water. Crazy and discriminatory. This is one tourist that will never be back. Good job John's and Myrtle beach.
