The planetarium is wonderfully beautiful with a variety of plants blooming throughout the year. It smells so nice and it's just a peaceful wonderful place to walkthrough.

Special hidden nature trails within campus, it’s like a beautiful little world of peace and serenity. Sculptures and scenic beauty. I didn’t want to leave this gem, a place where many have reflected on past, present and future I’m sure. It’s free to the students and visitors, well thought out and although not a sprawling garden it is full of what we all need at times to respect and (( notice)) the glorious nature that surrounds us. Definitely worth the stroll if your on campus. The Stephen F Austin campus is lovely.

This is one of the best places to walk in Nacogdoches. There are a lot of people who take pictures of the wildlife and plants. Sunset is my favorite time when the sun is just peeking through the trees. I imagine it is beautiful at sunrise but I am never up that early. It's a great place to get a feel for the azaleas and even inspiration for your own garden. The Japanese maples are beautiful in reds and greens.

This is the perfect place for a scenic walk with the family, friends, or days that you need a moment alone.

During our weekend visit to Nac, we stumbled onto the forested section of the plantery from the nearby azalea garden across the bayou. Pushing our 2-month old in a stroller was easy and enjoyable along these green, shaded pathways. Easily the most labored, well-developed section of the Lanana Creek Trail, this is sure to be the most interesting portion of your north-south hike.
