Nahant Marsh has a wide variety of activities. The bird blind is a good place to see waterfowl. I have seen Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Wood Ducks, Green Winged teals, American Coots and other ducks. Of course you can see Canada Geese and Mallards. The hiking trails are easy. Depending on when you visit yo can see butterflies, dragon flies, grasshoppers and moths. There are also a wide variety of wild flowers. I have seen Bald Eagles and Osprey while walking by the dock. The Education Center has a nice variety of live animals to observe and the staff is friendly.

Love this place - beautiful any time of year. Great to watch the animals and sunset. Flowers are gorgeous when blooming.

Beautifully maintained trails and bird watching stations through an awesome wetland. We too often ignore the beauty of these "swamps": full of birds, butterflies, flowers, turtle, etc.... The education center exhibits are fun and interesting inside and out.

Loved going here with our 2 year old daughter. She was able to explore all along the trails, up to the water and had a blast seeing the turtles and snakes inside the educational center. Great place for the whole family. Next time we will bring our dog too!

Great place to go to near the city and surround yourself with nature that is teeming with wildlife. The people here are amazing and very passionate about what they do. I always learn something new at their informative programs as well.
