I had taken my children to visit this lovely little bookshop after I had visited it on a previous trip. There were many books, of various levels, from which to choose. I loved the decor they have on display for sale. I loved it so much I couldn’t wait to show it to my kids. However, we didn’t have a pleasant experience there the second time around. My sweet-souled nine-year-old son was approached by a store clerk who approached him curtly asking, “I hope you plan on paying for that bracelet because, if not, that would be like stealing from Jesus.” He was mortified. He’s never stolen a thing in his life, nor has he ever considered it. He was so rattled by the interaction that he had to fight back tears to recount the incident. I did reach out to the church and received an e-mail response from the clerk. There was a gross misunderstanding regarding the situation. However, it was rectified in the end. My son made no implication that he was going to steal, but was left to feel like a thief in the end. That place did not leave a long-lasting positive effect on my family. I just hope similar incidents can be approached more kindly for the hope of future patrons, ESPECIALLY given the fact we were inside a church!

The people who worked there where friendly enough. The store itself was small; therefore their inventory was short. I wanted several particular items & they didn't have any of them.
