New ownership is making lots of great improvements. We love the Sugar Cream Cabin and the Nappanee Artisan Market. Looking forward to trying the new restaurants. They're getting RAVE reviews from the community!

My husband and I bought their overnight getaway package which was including hotel stay, dinner, theater, house and farm tour etc. The Farm Feast dinner was very good. They gave you lots of foods and we were so full and took our desserts to go. However, the hotel that they provided was located near the railroads. Trains passed by multiple times per night. For a city girl like me trying to sleep was tough. We enjoyed the show in the Round Barn. Very cozy! We went there from Friday to Sunday and thought we would visit many stores/places. However, most stores in the town of Nappanee closed early around 5pm and closed all day on Sunday. That was a big disappointment for us. If we decided to visit there again, we will go there very early.

Food has gone way down hill from the old Amish Acres. Extremely disappointed. None of the recipes are near as good. No fresh baked bread or pies. They said the threshers dinner was coming back as the “farm feast,” but that was a lie, as it really bares little to no resemblance to the old threshers dinner. The food is just not good, or fresh. It’s also vastly overpriced, with small portions. This used to be a wonderful place to come for dinner, and we would do so at least once every two weeks. Now it’s just a shadow of its former self, and not worth going to. Very sad to see what new ownership has done to the restaurant. Amish Acres was a very unique place; the restaurant served a meal that was hard to find anywhere else, and it was done well with great consistency. Now the food is just dime a dozen trendy hipster type fare that you can find an abundance of in any city. That’s not what people come to the country for! Bring back the threshers dinner!!

The Barns at Nappanee is a great attraction! Coffeeshop and restaurant on location in rustic buildings; both have excellent food and drink options. The theatre performed in a historic Amish-made barn and is professional-level and very reasonably priced. Also, the staff is very friendly and professional.

Had a very nice guide who was very knowledgeable about the original family and the Amish ways. We got a wagon ride and stopped by the old school house. Our guide told us about the old school and the Amish school of today. Then we got a buggy ride, I really enjoyed it. After the tour we stopped into the general store and purchased a few items. The large round barn was amazing. Great place to visit.
