I can't give a poor enough rating to pods. We got 4 different answers from 4 reps. We were promised that they would call their logistics dept and call me back 3 times. 3 promises broken. They took 6 weeks for our pods to arrive when promised 7-10 days. Bottom line is truly poor unacceptable service where no one really knows where your pods are or when they'll arrive. And they have no system to tell you when they arrive. You just have to keep calling back. I lost all faith in anything any of the reps said because they were either wrong or lied. Poor training and oversight. Stunning.

I used Pods to move as an alternative to renting a truck. My experience was great for the most part. I loved the convenience of loading the container at my own pace and not having to drive. The only thing I would improve is ability to be obligated to rent the container for a full month. A 3 day rental or maybe weekly rental would be nice.
Very happy with PODS. Empty POD delivered on time, picked up on time, stored in their Nashua location until we were ready for delivery 2 months later. Delivered on time. Customer service was great , everything was explained clearly and the quotes were accurate. Would use this service again.
Everything had been positive until we unexpectedly had to return back to our point of origin due to a family emergency. We knew we would need some of the items brought back with us and were trying to decide between a u-haul and using PODS again. We were assured on the phone if we used the same container to transport some of the goods back to our point of origin it would be cheaper than our previous contract had been. So, rather than have the empty container picked up we were told to leave the items to be returned on the container and call on that day to arrange the details. On the day of the pick-up when we were back at our point of origin, PODS then charged us over 1000 dollars more than our first contract to return our belongings to us, even though the route was the same and we had previously been assured our contract price would be cheaper. The representative who did the new quote told us we could only deal with him when we asked for a supervisor. We were also told if we did not like it we could drive back to where the POD was (a 17 hour drive) and get our stuff there. Our items were effectively held hostage and we had no choice but to pay the exorbitant fee. it is unfortunate because everything else had been extremely positive, but because they refused to honor their previous statement at a very critical decision-making point for us, I will not use PODS ever again, and I highly recommend anyone else to think twice about believing a quote you receive.
I can't understand why there are ANY negative reviews. The whole process went smoothly. Ordering online was easy. The pod showed up within the promised delivery window. The driver was friendly, and the pod was spotlessly clean inside. I was running behind schedule and had to request a date change for moving the filled pod to the new house. They were very accommodating. This is by far the easiest move I've ever had, much better than being rushed with a U-Haul. I definitely recommend pods service 100%.
