I searched “exotic food Nashville” for my birthday yesterday because I like being adventurous. I found this place and the food was absolutely delicious. I did take-out because of COVID, but can’t wait to return and eat in person. The location seems so deceptively unassuming, and this food was excellent. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Gojo is a true hidden gem in the Nashville area. As a newbie to Ethiopian cuisine I went in with a completely open mind. I kid you not, after the first bite, I was blown away. Every bite was super flavorful. I don't understand how you can compact so much deliciousness into such a small bite, but it was A. I'm also obsessed with the bread that came with the meal. It is kind of sour which compliments the richness of the meat dishes. Out of the three entrees I tried, I would say the lamb was my favorite. Super tender and super delicious. If you consider yourself a foodie or literally anyone who likes good food, you need to come here. Don't sleep on Gojo

Always a GREAT experience. Good food. Don't let the appearance of the place keep you away. We really like this place, and would go there more often if it was closer.

Great food, and great experience! It was our first time having Ethiopian food, and we really enjoyed it. Everyone was super nice, and we LOVED the coffee! We would definitely go back!

This is definitely a hole in the wall on Thompson lane, but the food, wow! I've never had ethiopian cuisine and boy i didn't know what I've been missing. since i had no idea what to order i just took the employee's recommendation, the number nine. It was a spicy beef with vegetables in a red sauce and two veggie sides one lentils, not even sure what the other one was. it was served wrapped in an enormous pancake shaped bread with an additional one on top. spice was perfect had me just slightly burning the whole time, sides were excellent. It looks like the pandemic has hit them pretty hard, sorry to hear that. i will be back though!
