I went to Monell's for the first time in a couple of years for dinner on Friday night. I had a table all to myself since nobody else showed up at 5 PM exactly like I did. My server ended up creating a family style service for me. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness and presentation of the food items. I felt like an emperor at his feast. Everything was on point. However, I came specifically for the fried chicken, ribs and catfish since they are only served together on Fridays. After about 20 minutes, people started to come to Monell's. They do a great job of keeping individuals and families socially distanced. They also make sure the food comes out almost immediately. My server kept making sure I was okay. I really loved his friendly personality and concern for making sure my experience was outstanding.

I LOVE this place! The all you can eat with the big family tables makes for a pleasant dining experience. The food is great quality and the chicken is fantastic. We sat at the large table and enjoyed a good meal while making new friends. We will be back! 15 for all you can eat breakfast during the week.
This is a social style restaurant where you and your party are seated at a table with other diners. You do not order from a menu, the dinner is chosen by the chefs and is shared amongst the whole table. We had fried chicken, catfish, ribs, plenty of sides and appetizers followed by dessert. The food and service is really good. Socializing with strangers at dinner is a fun experience! Recommend to anyone in Nashville!
We stopped here on a road trip and wow was it good. We did the fried chicken meal with corn pudding and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were just okay and the corn bread was dry, but everything else was good. If we pass through Nashville again, we'll stop and try some of the other sides.
I would rate this place 10 Stars if I could. From the family style dining to the amazing people and service. Was my first time doing a family style!! Great experience now for the food!! I can't imagine ever having anything bad here all of the food from start to finish was amazing fresh cooked delicious. If I lived in Nashville I would eat here too many times a week. The no phones at the table rule didn't bother anybody cuz you're too busy eating ️️ love this place
