The remains of Hancock have mostly dissolved back into the landscape but this area is filled with fascinating ruins and history. As part of this overall narrative, it’s worth seeing.

Really awesome place! We hiked to the Alpine Tunnel, and it was incredible up there, recommend for sure. The road up there is pretty intense, it’s all rocks basically
Its not a ghost town. There is only a few of the original foundation timbers of what's left of the original saloon. We were expecting more than that. There is some old pictures mounted in a plexiglass case showing some of the old buildings and describing the history of the old town.
Not a whole lot to see here. Remains of one building, however the mountain views are spectacular! The creek was running hard while we were there too.
