Amazing experience!!! The National Museum of African American Music Is completely worth it. Very well organize and very engaging. We took our daughters to learn about African American culture which she is studying now and she loved it!!! She got to learn about music and history, not only by observing , reading but dancing and singing along. As a family we recommend it to everyone adults and kids, will love it.

My daughter Holly surprised me with a visit to this phenomenal, educational, historic place for my birthday in March. The experience garners a 5 star rating. As your musical journey begins, the exhibits flow easily. The interactive experiences are fun; and, even when you think you may not enjoy them, just do as one of our tour guides suggested, “just go for it” you will not regret it. The bands enable you to have memories for a long time and can be downloaded. There is so much to see, one trip is not enough and another visit is needed. I also thank them for their Covid protection, making it even more enjoyable. Please go, it is for everyone to learn and soak in the richness and the rhythms. I will return soon.
This was the first place my wife and I visited on our trip to Nashville. This place was so amazing. The whole experience was so good. Everything from the video at the start of the tour to learning about the different artist and genres, to the interactive displays that allows you to save everything you do. I got to sing with Bobby Jones and the Nashville Mass Choir, create a blues song, make a hip hop beat, rap along with the Fugees, and save song from various artists. The staff was also wonderful and helpful. The gift shop has some great gift ideas for music lovers.
Great experience for my 12 year old. I also took my mom in law. She should be a tour guide there. It was a stroll down memory lane. She sung and acted with several of the artists presented.
Excellent experience. Well laid out and educational as well as entertaining. Museum should be in Washington D.C.
This was a great experience. I attended with my 2 adult children. It was interactive and I walked in to Prince playing on screen. Such an experience. We loved the live performance and the gift shop. We all agreed that we would come back.
I can't say enough about this place. It was just awesome. I really love how everything is interactive and the ability to download the songs that you listen to.
I love history so I think everyone should go if you want to know about music in the past it's a Great family environment everyone should love it
