I just graduated from the DMS program at NPC college last July and I just got a new job as an ultrasound tech in a clinic. I'm really thankful for the staff at NPC, starting from Admissions to Career services. In addition to sending me job offers, they also fixed my resume and cover letter which really boosted my chances of getting this new job. They guided me through my ARDMS application and helped me gather all the requirements. They've helped me so much. I am very grateful for them.
My review is from my in-class experience in the MRI program before covid restrictions happened. Starting off, I had already graduated from a major university with a BA so I only needed to do the MRI diploma program. This being said, I was accustomed to being in a classroom with anywhere from 100-350 students; where questions couldn't really be asked during class and professors didn't know any names. What I really enjoyed about NPCollege was the small class sizes and relationship that could be formed with instructors. My instructor, Ms.Waters, quickly got to know all of us and was always open to answering any questions we had. A lot of class time was spent reading the textbook, and then going over the material. Some people might not like that learning style, but for me it allowed me to study quite a lot during class and have time outside of school to have a job. I was also an avid note taker, and did my best to understand the material rather than simply memorizing it. Therefore, whenever we'd go over the material in class, it was like a review of what I had read. We were encouraged to form study groups and learn from each others study habits. During more dry class material, our instructor would try to make it more fun by having us play Jeopardy games on the material. I was able to talk to career services months prior to going on my externship and made a list of sites I was interested in. Thankfully Lesli matched me with a great externship in my area. While externship was a bit stressful at first, it was something I was told to expect. Additionally, even with everything happening in 2020, I was able to finish my externship and was actually hired by my site. I am overall glad that I attended National Polytechnic College after already having a degree because I have secured a great job and future.
I recently visited the school to get information on their DMS program. Everyone was welcoming. Jasmine was very helpful and answered all my questions. I can't wait to start the program!
Waste of time and money.
