After going to two other places who could not do my hair, I knew when I walked into Nature’s Outer Beauty that I was right where I was supposed to be! From the conversation to the music to the oh so talented Mrs. Sarah, AKA the LOC DOCTOR...this shop is a whole VIBE! I am truly Blessed to have found this salon! Not only did I finally get to start my locs, I was treated like a Queen from the moment I got there! I honestly feel like I spent a few hours with family...that’s how cozy this salon is. This wouldn’t even be a fair review without mentioning her assistant, Mrs. Shawntae! Super sweet lady who really took care of me! I truly love to see my sisters providing quality hair care, with a smile, style and grace! I can’t wait for my next appointment! Blessings! ️

Sarah is phenomenal. She makes you feel like a QUEEN! I'm gonna start seeing her and her only. I however did not like how when walking into her establishment, I wasnt greeted at all. It made me feel unimportant and to say the least, I sat there in the front of her store for nearly 45 mins before someone spoke to me or said anything. I mean, I know if Sarah had known she would have said something but she's got to tell whoever is working in the front of her store to be more welcoming or offer some kind of guidance. I had an appointment at 500, wasnt seen until 630, and even then I still ended up calling it quits and rescheduling for a few days later. When I came back, it was much easier for me to just walk in and say something directly to Sarah, and I was seen IMMEDIATELY, no waiting for me. So, definitely just make your presence known to her (she's a busy woman, you gotta be confident and say \I'm here!\) Or else she'll keep minding about her own business, which, there's nothing wrong with when you're a hard worker. I think you'd even be fine to call her and tell her you're there if you're afraid of just walking behind the white curtains. Eitherway, all of that mumbo jumbo, was well worth the time and effort of waiting for her, and with what she did to my hair. I'll definitely be going back when it's time.

Let me start by saying a picture is worth a thousand words so I will attach photos of what I asked for and what Sarah gave me. I normally look at reviews to decide if I will patronize a particular business and her reviews were promising. IN REALITY I have no idea how she has such good reviews, It has to be family and friends because my experience was HORRIBLE. My SCHEDULED appointment (retwist & style) was for 2:30. She didn’t start washing my hair until 3:05. I did not leave the salon until 6:00pm!!! She was clearly overbook and didn’t extend any apologies which leads me to believe this is normal. She was juggling like 4 people at once! Secondly my retwist was loose and not neat at all. She hurried through my retwist and it looked a HOT MESS. A child could have done what she did. Lastly the style is clearly not what I asked for and started to unravel that same exact day. Like an hour later to be exact!!!!!! I PAID 80 DOLLARS for something I could have done myself! I love black business but not UNPROFESSIONAL BLACK BUSINESS. I will never patronize her business again or refer anyone. Sarah please do better. I hope this review helps someone because I am out 80 dollars,disappointed and STILL need my hair done.
