Make sure everything is clearly written down in your contract before you pay cash.. I purchased a used boat from Nautical Ventures over a month ago and only today did I receive a title. Sure it was the bank I (think) holding up the docs which were supposed to take two weeks but they were also threatening to charge me for storage for a boat they would not release to me, yet I could not take without a signed title. They also charged me for loading my boat onto a trailer which was implicitly to be included in my deal to buy. They said they were going to haul my boat out of the water - but yet left it in the water for 5 days to thrash against their dock. They said they would put it into rack storage and under cover - they did not. They also said they'd put the shore cable on to charge the batteries - which they never did. You get the picture - Don't trust they are going to do anything they said they would. Make sure yourself and buyer beware. They will say anything for the sale.
