This resort is SUPER peaceful! Pretty large acreage to wander around trails, or sit on the bench overlooking the pond! The pool is a good size, and has deep 8' end. Plenty comfy loungers around with a few umbrellas to shade from sun. The property is very clean, grass is mowed around common areas and along walking trail. Evelyn is WONDERFUL host!! She told us how to access property and had paperwork ready for me to fill out since it was my 1st time. The guests were all welcoming and nice!! Plenty parking fir day passes, and a few open spots for parking RV for short and long term stay. If peace and nature is your thing, this is the spot. Just follow the rules, be respectful and enjoy your time!! Thanks Evelyn for being the BEST hostess!!

I have been to this resort a couple of times - during the week, not a weekend - and at neither time were there more than three people (including myself). Facilities were very nice, but there was practically nobody else there. I'm not sure how they stay in business unless they are overrun every single weekend. Again, a nice facility, but virtually no other people. Not especially anxious to return - especially during the week. A weekend? A definite maybe.
There was one nice lady I spoke with on the phone then I got there and 2 other women were rude to me and told me I can’t camp there because of Covid all of a sudden but right after she got off the phone with a another woman, I heard the conversation on speaker that she was on her way up in two days!? Ugh it’s way far out to begin with but I had planned on paying for the month of July and car was packed. Just rude jerks!
Ms Evelyn is the greatest! Went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable for my over night stay. The park is awesome I will definitely be back as much as I can .
I always have an enjoyable and relaxing day at Lone Star. I have always gone during the week and there have only been a few other nudist but that is OK with me. The grounds are large and pleasant. There is a large pool with nice clean restrooms. Granted there is not a clubhouse or many other amenities but when I have visited other resorts I never use them. I much prefer Lone Star to Emerald although that is not meant to put down Emerald.
⁹Evelyn was very nice and so were other guests. But needs update to facilities.
Needs to be better maintained. The grass was high,the road was full of holes. There was no one in the office to talk to.
Aside from the fact that it is not a gated community, and that their are only 2 fully stocked RV 's for rent, it is nice, small and good for first-timers.
