The Good: Very friendly people and cute atmosphere. The Bad: Reheated food. Overcooked potatoes. Worst salad I’ve had in over a decade. They used the cheapest bagged lettuce they could find at the local store (the kind with the pre-shredded cabbage and carrot pieces and sad iceberg chunks). For what you are getting it’s very expensive, almost felt like I was robbed for the quality I was given. The photos of their food online posted by other reviewers looked bad but the reviews were so glowing that I decided to give it a try (now I’m sorry I did). Like at least one of the other reviewers mentioned, I too have been to Germany. Both my parents speak German and went to Germany every year when I was younger. We hosted German exchange students yearly in my house. I would be embarrassed to take any of them to that restaurant or anyone of any nationality. I feel bad railing on this place because the people were very nice there but the food they served us felt extremely lazy and half-hearted. The reviews online did not match my experience with this place. Maybe we caught them on a bad day? Or maybe that’s the power of small town friends and family reviewing your restaurant. Dine there at your own risk.

The good reviews are justified! We had the Pork Corden Blue and Jaeger Schnitzel. Both were delicious. The food was hot and quickly prepared. The owners and staff were very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. I know we'll be back!!
If you have ever eaten German food, Sabine is a must to go. If you haven't then it's a must to try. Everything is delicious! Deserts are made fresh and are a must no matter how full you are. You will not regret giving this place a try! Sabine my hats off to you for being a little piece of Germany to Texas!
