Overall experience was mediocre. The scheduling or lack of it was undesirable. No information on ability if we could park on the crushed stone or a pamplet on how to care for the new driveway after the installation. Sidewalk cracked from roller n they did commit to come out to caulk/seal to prevent further damage. The price was fair n advisement on how to expand the driveway was appreciated and seems functional for our needs.
We wish we had called Richard's Paving from Day1 when we bought this house. We share our lane with a neighbor who chose our prior paving contractor based on price. What a disappointment. You get what you pay for. Mr. Bucci from Richard's Paving is old school and a total professional. He knows what he is talking about and is to be completely trusted. Not only does the job look beautiful but I really trust that the underlying \stuff\ I can't see is as it should be. I was really worried that my extensive plantings along the edges of my winding drive would be ruined by the heat and tar. I was out of town when it finally stopped raining and they fit me on the schedule. When I returned home I was relieved and thrilled to see virtually no damage to my cobblestone edges nor plants. Fastidious work.
Looking back at the experience we had with this company, I would not hire them again. The work that was completed did not match what we requested they do and because it was done while we were away at work, it was too late for it to be undone. I complained to the company and sent pictures as backup reference but despite several promises of investigation, nothing was done to fix the issue. Another instance of a contractor ignoring the homeowner's wishes and doing what they want to save time and money. Would NOT recommend.
