The solid group of experienced and emerging developers, business owners (like myself), and other key stakeholders coming together over distributed app development, blockchain, and cryptocurrency is what makes DappDevs so special. Great atmosphere of excitement and engaging conversation amongst a great mix of the knowledgeable and experienced and fresh and eager learners.

Great community of decentralized application developers. Very friendly, inclusive, helpful atmosphere. Tends toward the techier side; less HODLing more BUIDLing. Lots of interest in Ethereum and Hyperledger projects.

I've been hanging out, talking with, and learning from these guys for a number of months now. I've been asked to give presentations at meetups. I've been able to help (in a small way) get some state legislation passed so we can make it easier for blockchain based startups to thrive in Connecticut. Most recently I went through a weekend seminar on how to develop on the Ethereum blockchain. They're super knowledgeable and seem entirely more focused on building out the ecosystem of developers in the area rather than making a ton of money off their workshops. In one weekend our group learned how to program smart contracts with Solidity and Remix, created and exchanged our own tokens on the Rinkeby test network, and used Web3 to build a front end to a smart contract we mob programmed together. Fantastic group of people who just want to spread knowledge around the space. A.
