These guys manufactured the liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen propellants used by the Space Shuttle. This is what went into the Shuttle’s External Tank, which was built right next door at the Michoud Assembly Facility. I used to monitor the loadings of the shuttle in my work at Michoud (for Martin Marietta/Lockheed), and I would watch the pressures and temperatures for the LOX system from start of Chilldown through end of flight. Not once did we ever have an issue, in the entire history of the Shuttle program, with the propellants they supplied. They were of the highest quality, and the very fact that it was good enough for the shuttle program should tell everyone what a terrific job Air Products and their employees did for many years (and still are, I’m sure!). Five stars for a top-notch partner in the Space Shuttle Program.
