Absolutely amazing! The Fried Grits and Shrimp were delicious, the flavors were perfectly balanced and well developed. The Gumbo is pure New Orleans, everything that one looks for in Gumbo! The generosity and kindness of the owners was the personification of the Souths high standards of hospitality. We can not wait to go there again. The restaurant was charming. Highly recommend Cafe Porche and Snowbar!!!

Top Notch, Friendly Attentive Proprietor, Felt Like Family. Stopped by on a quiet Sunday afternoon after reading good reviews and craving something fresh and easy. With a co-worker, we were celebrating our last business trip together and could not have asked for a better experience. We ended up being the only customers at the time (Saints home game!), which worried us a bit -- we didn't want to seem like a nuisance or get ignored. Our concerns were immediately dispatched as both the proprietor and her brother treated us like family. The cafe is relatively new, and they genuinely cared about our whole experience. We got treated like old friends the whole time. The owner embodies the old saying: \do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life.\ The food? We got a sampling of breakfast and lunch - all solid, thoughtful local fare - and were blown away. The shrimp appetizer \The Flying Dutchman\ was a dish I wanted to share and hoard all to myself at the same time. Red Beans and Rice were family secret recipe quality. I'll be back for the non-vegetarian version, but mine was a high-five in a bowl! Fast refills on fantastic coffee, each dish thoughtfully plated, and a pleasant patio brunch feeling made for an experience I'll seek out for each visit. A place/experience like Cafe Porche is the reason people seek out travel adventures in the first place.
