Yes it is small. Yes it has security to get inside. But who knew what a crazy banking history our nation had!? Or the numerous currencies, counterfeits, bank crises, and federal law changes over the years. The guard is super friendly and full of stories, you can design your own currency, pick up a small bag of shredded money, and see informative videos. I think the negative reviews are from people who could not be bothered to READ the interesting historical displays. I learned a lot!! Take a half hour and escape the craziness of NOLA for a unique experience. Go at 9AM while the city sleeps off its hangover.

My wife and I stopped by to check this out today. It was a very pleasant surprise. A one room display of history and information about the Federal Reserve. The Federal Officer was very pleasant and professional. She was a delight. Highly recommend this in your adventures of the city.

Great little educational museum that offers a free shredded currency souvenir. Really neat experience! The guard Morgan is very nice and also knowledgeable about the Fed and its policy. I had fun and will never forget the experience. Thank you Morgan, you are a local treasure!!!

Don’t waste your time. It was a lobby. Very sad “museum” even the security guard was sad. It took me longer to get them to open the doors and process me through security than to walk through the “exhibit”

One small room of displays, but an overall interesting experience; won't take more than 30 minutes to visit.

Small, but interesting museum. Gentleman (security) at the desk was very helpful.

The only Museum where the security guard is more entertaining than the exhibit
