Food, atmosphere, and service were a. Would definitely return for the food and the ambiance. Everything was delicious and well seasoned, from appetizers to dessert. I feel sorry for the people who feel otherwise, as they must have went on an off day. I mean I wanted to eat three loaves of the bread alone, for goodness sake. Now the downsides: Be aware that parking is a pain in the neck and leave time to navigate that. I will say that if you are at all COVID cautious Galatoires is... not it. Oh everyone was masked who worked there, but they a) seem to think that 50% capacity means operate 50% of the restaurant aka shove everyone in the main dining room, and leave the other spaces unused; b) actively encouraged unmasked diners to sing and cheer in said small space to someone for their birthday; c) were so packed that waitstaff often had to use the 6 ft between tables to move through the room. My party was all vaccinated, which is why we were even out at all, but I found it busy and bustling even for precovid times. I won't remove a star because Orleans parish is doing very well, and frankly indoor dining's danger level is there, well-known, and I took the risk. I was just a little thrown by the fact that it almost felt like the before-times. Do your own calculations!

The head waiter noticed we were in casual attire and they escorted us to that dining area. Our waitress Jennifer was awesome. The food was fantastic and their sweet potato Cheesecake and bread pudding were delicious. I would highly recommend. We all sampled each others meals, all winners.

Brussels sprouts were AMAZING! I'd go back just for that! Filet mignon was also outstanding

The steak was top level and cooked perfect. The sides were outstanding and the appetizer sampler is a must have. Was Friday night and we had reservations, able to sit early. I did see some guys who did not have a jacket on or dress jeans so dress code might be hit or miss.

What’s there to say about Galatoires? Every time, and I mean every time I come to New Orleans, it’s at the top of my list of places to go. It’s the most consistently delicious upscale French-Creole food, with seamless service from all of the staff. Brian, a favorite server, blends perfect service with that New Orleans hospitality, wit and warmth. From start to finish, Galatoires delivers a sensational dining experience blending the old world and the new. And especially in COVID times, the tables were spaced evenly and mask use was strictly enforced. I couldn’t recommend this established New Orleans restaurant enough.

First let me say my husband and I walked in restaurant was told by bar tender to walk next door to be seated mind you there was empty seats on the side we walked in. So we walked next door only to be walked back to the side we was on initially. So as we sat we was served hard bread and food was not good I will not be back for over priced steak with no flavor.
