Loretta's needs to be on lists for best bakeries in New Orleans. I ordered a lot a every single item I would get again! First, the beignets-better than du monde. Yep, I said it! I got the praline and it has perfect flakey edges yet pillow soft middles with buttery, caramely, praline sauce centers and covered in powdered sugar. It's not often I'm stopped in my tracks by food to have to take a real moment to wonder at the flavors, but this praline beignet did exactly that! Also, the Kings cake is like a cinnamon roll in a flakey soft cake form and amazing. The sweet potato cookie was spiced perfectly and so soft, thick and chewy. The peanut butter praline bar was like a cross between fudge and a candy bar and delicous!! Lastly the service was absolutely incredible, the two people working were both so kind and welcoming!
