What a great find. GO GO GO! take a break from the debauchery and go. They own a shuttle bus that will take you from canal street to the museum - take it and don't walk because it is further than you think. The artistry and imagination of this place will absolutely blow your mind. The artists work on the floats while you are there too and will talk to you. Also they give you king cake! Well worth the 20.

It was pretty cool. No tour guide right now because of covid. They started off with video, explaining Mardi Gras and then you're able to walk around and look and take pictures of the floats.

Floats in the Oaks. We loved the floats and lighting. If you booked this experience I recommend to get there at least 30 minutes before the time frame showed in your purchase email, waiting in line outside of the park can take more than you expected. The ride around the floats last half and hour.

This is great stop to start your Mardi Gras Journey. This museum plays for visitors a documentary video at the beginning and provides self-guided tour around the warehouse. Super interesting to see on your eyes the process of the creation of such a beauty! We met a few artists during the process, which was wonderful. Tickets were about 25 which worth it, but parking isn't free, it is 20 per vehicle, it is a robbery, a way too expensive!

I loved to see all the different types of floats and the history video was very interesting especially the spelling of krew. If you get a chance to watch Amazing Race with the episode od the putting a world map together, go out back to the rim of the river and look to the left that's the bridge the flu off the grab the ticket. Oh and she did say yes.

Very enjoyable place to visit and learn all about Mardi Gras! Where else would you be able to get this close up to the floats and see how they're made?!

It was great fun to go walk amongst the artist areas where the craft happens. Then to see the large characters ready for the floats and from years past. Just amazing.
