We ate here after a parade. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was excellent. The waiter was funny, pleasant and patient with our group. Food is Creole with some interesting riffs and the vegetarian in our group was very happy, as she had several choices of creative cuisine rather than just the usual plate of pasta one often finds. Nice wine list, moderately priced. Decor is cute and casual.

Passed by here and learned that the restaurant is now closed. I call the number listed and was told that they are a catering company now and open for private parties only. Sad to see this one gone.

Mat & Naddie's is located in an adorable Creole cottage in the Riverbend. The food ranges from traditional New Orleans dishes to updated, creative takes on Louisiana cuisine. The waitstaff was extremely polite and knowledgeable about the menu, and I really enjoyed my entire dining experience here.

Mat & Naddie's is one of our favorite standby's. Phenomenal and creative food, great New Orleans atmosphere. The location is both pro and con - there's rarely a wait on a Friday night except during festival season, but it's not walkable from anything, really. The last time we dined here, the redfish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend: the chevre cheesecake with sun dried tomatoes and artichokes; any fish dish; the panna cotta and pecan pie. Also, the often overlooked burger is one of the best you'll ever taste, decked out with pimento cheese.
