Jury duty was not that bad, and has improved significantly over the years. Free parking, decent waiting rooms, wifi service, coffee and tea available plus vending machines. Some of the courtrooms are still under renovation but should be complete by the start of 2020. I served on a jury and they fed us poboys for lunch and dinner from a Chinese place, and they didn't skimp on it. I never did receive my 10 for serving on the jury.

On the plus side, those doing jury duty can expect decently functional WiFi and an attentive respectful staff. Parking was easy and they do provide coffee/tea and access to a fridge. The biggest issue you will likely face is the unpredictable temperature of the waiting rooms. It’ll make you sick of everything by the end of your shift. It’s also impossible to predict the temps in court rooms. So dress flexibly and be ready to carry around your clothes (make sure to not lose anything!). You might also get people who leave their audio on blast, so you might get a dose of news or Youtube and no one will say anything (this ain’t no Greyhound ride). Apparently, they stopped allowing people to take photos in the building because a visitor caught an employee sleeping on the job or something. So no selfies unless you wanna take it in the bathroom stall.

Visiting from Houston I noticed this imposing building while driving. It's beautiful! I wondered if it was under construction or being remodeled/refurbished. Hopefully it will be cared for and preserved for years to come.

Beautiful building to work in. Sad that our city and state government argue on who should take on the upkeep of the cleaning and architecture. The employees are mostly nice to the public, (even when the public aren't so nice).
