Place is awesome! Fondue at its finest! Great wait staff - bartender - management!
Amazing food. If you put everything together at one time you would think it isn't a lot of food, but believe me you'll leave miserably full. A little on the pricy side, but it's the experience you are paying for. Menu changes seasonally.
Unique experience but be prepared to spend lots of money and time here. We went for my daughter’s birthday. Her choice. I tried to talk her out of it with many alternate suggestions but her heart was set on this place. It’s a unique experience but pricey for what it is. We were seated at 7:00 and didn’t get out of there until 10:45. I was happy to spend the time with my family so not a big deal but just be aware...it won’t be a quick meal. The food was good, particularly the cheese and chocolate. The service was...interesting. Our waiter was training at least two (maybe three) newbies, one of which may have never stepped foot in a restaurant prior to this night. It provided some comic relief throughout the long evening.
Love this place. Keeping it short and sweet, the staff has always been some of the nicest I've come across in the city. I always try to bring friends or family that haven't heard of the melting pot. It's a neat experience to be able to pick out each element of your meal or choose bundles. Great place, great ambience! Do recommend!
Overall, this was a fun dinner. I tend to eat very quickly, so having to wait for my food to cook is a nice form of self restraint! The booth style layout also offers privacy and avoids the crowded restaurant feel. Service was good, although our waiter kind of dropped off near the end, presumably because it got busier. The cheese and chocolate fondues are delectable, but I would advise not paying the extra 11 bucks for the lobster tail, which was miniature to say the least. Not an everyday restaurant given the price point, but worth the experience every once in a while.
Wonderful experience as always! Top notch food and service.
Liked it better before they started encouraging people to bring children. The experience is okay. But's a serious come down from it's origins. Not just the New Orleans location, it seems like all the Melting Pots have gone from quiet, elegant places to take a special someone on a date and spend an evening to noisy places, with chatty kids and servers that rush you through dinner---bringing courses on top of each other. It's really a sad change. I'll still go there because the experience is unique...but I long for the good old days!
