If you’re looking for a good history of the abandoned Quabbin towns definitely make a stop here.

Travelers, this museum curates a wonderful piece of local and state history. The Swift River Valley Historical Society keeps track of the history of the towns flooded in the Swift River Valley so Boston and the burbs could have clean drinking water. It is a sad story for the families who lived in the valley. They were removed and displaced in a not so nice way. This is the place that keeps their history. It is an educational experience that is very moving. We recommend. Enjoy.

We went for the quilt show and found way more than we expected. There are three buildings to explore and lots of knowledgeable people to help you explore.

Didn't stay for long, was there for a different event, but the history they have preserved was really interesting. Amazing to see the items, and hear some of the history

Great tours with knowledgeable staff. Great resource to learn about the forgotten towns before the reservoir was developed.
