What a pleasure it always is to stop in this jewelry store! Yesterday I took in three pieces of jewelry that were last appraised in Michigan in 2011. The owner took time looking at each piece, then told me that the appraised values were still accurate. I asked him what I owed him, and he replied that there was no charge! He also was able to fix a pair of glasses that three opticians had told me could not be fixed. I love to support a family owned business.

Great place friendly people! They were closed and because we drove from out of town to pick a ring up, they unlocked the door and let me in! They packaged it up and my wife was very pleased! Nothing wrong with these folks they are awsome! Thanks Kilman Jewelers!

First, it took a year to get my citizen watch fixed. They said the part was on a boat from China. When the part did come in they said it would be ready in 3 days. 3 weeks later it was done. Last they said they would only charge 68 for the part since it took so long. 90 later I had my watch and not happy. I prefer to do business with small business. But not going back to these people.

Very scary process buying a wedding ring but Dave and his staff were great. Educated me on what to look for and then worked within my budget to find something special. Highly recommend!

I would like to post 10 stars for the outstanding, masterful repair work that David at Kilman's completed on 2 rings for me. One ring was judged \beyond repair\ by a very upscale jeweler in Michigan, who estimated almost 3 times the repair cost that David charged. The other required labor intensive prong restoration. But... David knows how unhappy I was with the timeframe of the repair, and his lack of communication. This echoes other complaints about Kilmans. I talked to David about this, and understand he is trying his best. He is flooded with repair work on jewelry and watches, because of his quality service. However, he just doesn't seem to understand the importance of returning phone calls. I for one would have been much less annoyed if I had received the call backs (\I'll get back to you\) that were promised. I gave the rings to Kilman's on January 28, 2020. I got them back on March 20, 2020. While I was never given an actual expected completion date, I didn't expect it to take nearly 2 months, and 3 phone calls (one the end of February; the others in early March a week apart). If I had known upfront, fine, I would have understood that. Instead, I was advised the rings were almost ready, waiting for stone, and then promised to be ready March 13th, but not. It took a 4th call, and a personal visit and an angry me, to get a commitment to have the rings finished for pickup the next day. Bottomline: Kilman's has an incredible inventory of exquisite collections and does excellent jewelry repair at a very good cost. However, repair work can take much longer than expected. And David doesn't follow up with you. David apologized for the delay and not calling back. I hope he takes the criticisms to heart. Give customers a better idea of the expected timeframe for repair, and do follow up when you say you will. You have great employees who can help you with that.
