Not exactly the shining jewel of the subway system. (This is not the 14th Street and Union Square stop). It's rundown, shabby and crowded. There are connections to the L, F, M and NJ Path.
So what can I say about the station? It is an extremely large station. Where you can transfer from the red line Which is 1 2 and 3 trains to F& L trains. The transfer between the red line and the L train is an Avenue block away underground walking. I'd say about five minutes. If you're going from the red line to the F train, it's about seven minutes in walking because you have to walk down stairs twice. To get to the F line. Yesterday in that block walk on Valentine's Day There was a special. Buy specific company where they posted pictures all over and said pick a picture in order to give that to your Valentines. Free gift from the subway to you That was a nice touch. As you walk that one block Underground there are posters for the new movies that are coming out. This subway station is old and dirty and smells bad most of the time. I would not recommend being there. During early hours or late hours. Also, the L line has a lot of construction and changes especially over the weekend So be aware of that for the next like 2 years, I think.
This station is horrible for transfers. Every single time i get lost looking for the F Train. So confusing. The lack of signs and information is driving me crazy.
If there was a scratch and sniff sticker for this station it would be \Cumin and Raw Sewage\. 5 stars.
