After quarantine I was so incredibly grateful this store was still open!! Although I secretly enjoy some of the pieces for their beauty, and the joy in our home it brings, my children are obsessed with the geode cracker!! It’s a perfect place to take the kids, stay zen for a bit and enjoy yourself. And if the staff are free they have always gone an extra mike to get them excited and laughing! Something that is PRICELESS right now. Thank you! Please survive and hope you get the local support you need.

Tourist here! I loved this place. If you know anything about geodes, you'd understand how much money sits in a store like this. Beautiful treasures. Definitely worth stopping in to browse. These were some of my favorites.

A few weeks ago after visiting The Museum of Natural History, my wife and I took my son who wants to be a paleontologist to Astro West. We were searching for a fossil or a meteorite. We were in the store for 20 mins while the owner talked to a man from Argentina. Not once were we greeted or our presence/existence acknowledged by the owner/manager. Our experience at Astro West was a great opportunity to teach our son about the experience of SHOPPING WHILE BLACK. Too ofter Africa Americans are either followed and harassed or ignored all together in stores. Perhaps a sign saying No Blacks Allowed would have saved us 20 mins of our time. Rest assured we won't be heading back to that lovely establishment.

This is store is a gem right in the UWS. They display the most beautiful, rare and unique rocks I’ve ever seen. It’s like visiting a museum. It’s really worth to visit even if you’re not buying anything. solo bueno y nada mas

I stopped in to look for a gift for a collector friend of mine. The staff was absolutely top notch, knowledgeable in regards to the items they sell and their collection is simply breathtaking. Hands down this is where you want to shop for fine geodes, fossils and meteorites.
