Went here to celebrate indoor dining reopening with friends. We got to order many different dishes to share. Drypot and Mabo tofu were my favorites. Their cauliflower dish was pretty impressive as well since they also out some pieces of sliced pork for the flavor. We ordered everything to be in medium level spiciness and it was a right choice. Our server was pretty attentive and kind. Will definitely come back!

Can’t go wrong here! Excellent food. We’ve only done take-out here but really looking forward to visiting.

First time trying Hunan cuisine, and Blue Willow does not disappoint. Would definitely recommend this establishment for those looking for authentic Chinese and a classic ambiance. Only docked one star for the inconsistency in spice level - seems as though the chilies were not even spread out throughout the dishes, leaving some bites as fairly mild and others painfully hot. Though, overall, would highly recommend for heat enthusiasts.

My friends and I have been wanting to try hot-pot forever! We called in and they mentioned they had hot pot. Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. We chose to sit outdoors and on the table by the door (kept open) for some reason. I don’t believe it’s heated because we were freezing lol. I’d recommend sitting further away from the door. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari, and Malay dry-pots. The Calamari was DIVINE. Truly the best I’ve ever had. It came with a spicy dipping sauce which took it to a whole another level. As for the dry-pot, we asked for spicy after having them assist us compare the spice level to Indian food lol. I’d recommend not asking for spicy when you get the dry-pot because we just couldn’t handle it. The chef stopped by, took our dry-pots back and it was brought back us much milder than at first. This made it more “eatable” if that’s a word. The meat and fish were well cooked and flavored. But the spice level and also a weird mint-y-ness did not align well with us. We were extremely pleased with the service and quality of the food. If we go back, we’ll probably try their other popular entrees. For drinks, we got fresh Mango juice and Sweet Chrysanthemum Iced Tea. They were both really good. P.S. Don’t forget to check in on Yelp for a free drink.

My experience here was the absolute the BEST!! I have always been a huge fan of Szechuan food, and this place is so authentic!! The aesthetics of this restaurant took into account of the vintage culture of China. From the decor to the name of the drinks, you can feel every bit of the vibe of that culture. A couple friends and I went tonight to have a taste of home, the food reminded us of the life we had when we were back in China. And since the pandemic, we weren't able to go back home, so this really has been a treat for us. The owners of the restaurant are super nice as well. They came quite a few times to check on us and wants feedback on the food. Super friendly staff as well! We'll definitely come back in the future!!!

Blue Willow is my new favorite Szechuan spot in the city. The food is amazing, the interior is super authentic, and the service is prompt and welcoming. We tried several dishes, but my favorites were the Mala Dry Pot (especially the pork belly) along with the spicy fish. The heat level is just right, portion sizes are generous without being excessive, and the quality is awesome. The cocktails are so good here, and priced well. Ask for the off-menu ‘Blue Willow’ cocktail.

We had lunch at this restaurant. We asked the waitress several times if the dishes we ordered were fried or breaded. She told us that they were stirfried with no breading. We had the sweet-and-sour pork which had more breading than pork and tasteless. We then ordered stir fried shrimp which was extremely greasy and had breading on it. This is supposed to be an Upscale restaurant. I’d rather go to any takeout Chinese restaurant and I will get their food And the dishes would be explained to me accurately. This is my first and last time at this restaurant.
