This is one of those little places that manages to have a perfect decor, drinks and food! You can not go wrong here. Everything is seasoned to perfection, presented beautifully and beyond enjoyable to eat. I had their red sangria and not only was it refreshing but, it was the best sangria I have had in this city in ages! If you haven't been to Charrua Bistro yet, do yourself a favor and go ASAP. You won't be disappointed! I mean check out the photos! Yum!

This was truly a happy accident. My wife and I just happened in and within minutes the place came alive. The food was good. The music was exhilarating. It was the patrons, though, that made this magical. Go on a Tuesday night!

Been here 2 times. We live in NJ and always looking for Uruguayan food. My wife is from Uruguay and whenever we get a chance to eat authentic food we will go. Good food and service. Will be going back.

Excellent service. Tables. Willing to host diners. Food very good. Fresh. Full of flavour. Not too large portions, either — so nice. Prices reasonable for what you get. Good ambience.

I've been to Charrua 3 times now and every single visit has literally not disappointed. This spot serves incredible and authentic Uruguayan dishes that'll satiate you at every bite. The first dish I recommend you start off with is their amazing morcilla (blood sausage). While I initially did not see myself trying out this dish when it was first presented to me, I easily devoured it the moment I changed my mind about digging in. The thing must've been gone in 20 seconds flat. A beautiful, smooth, almost creamy texture that melts in your mouth, this is a must eat. Their chivito is outstanding and while I did not attach a picture with my review, trust me when I say it's well worth your bites. Their calamari was fresh & delicious, their sweetbread was on point and their porterhouse steak is unreal. This spot also has a great vibe, an intimate interior, awesome service, a great wine list and is literally perfect for summer brunches and summer nights (large open windows FTW). Go here...immediately!

We only had beers and fries, but they were great! The fries are homemade and it shows, and the tennant is helpful and kind. The atmosphere is elegant and quiet. Would absolutely recommand!

This is a great place to have a good dinner. Wine os okay, but the steaks are great. Friendly staff and good vibe. Be sure to check prices before going there. There is an online menu if you google them. It is worth the price anyway.
