It’s funny, I am reading reviews of Sacred Heart. All of the negative reviews are by individuals who never attended the school because they feel it’s too antiquated and restrictive in its policies and teachings. Forget that Lady Gaga went to the school. Sacred Heart is a beacon of education, producing strong, intelligent young women. The grammar and high school is your standard college preparatory curriculum. It’s not inexpensive or easy to be placed into by any means but if you want your daughter to receive a top notch education you should consider the school. While the schools discipline would seem strict and abusive to liberals, the school sets a standard of values and behaviors lacking in today’s generation. Then again I’m sure the negative reviews are coming from the same individuals who believe that children have the right to dictate to school boards that homework should be outlawed and parents who wonder if their children should be academically challenged through reading, testing and memorization, teaching methods that are anti core curriculums. Fact of the matter is the average NYC public school student could not handle the demands of a Sacred Heart education. I have been going to CSH since Kindergarten and have been there for over 10 years. At the end of my eighth grade year, many of the girls in my grade left to try new places and experiences, but I could never leave. Sacred Heart is my second home (cheesy, but true), as I have made so many friends, and the environment is welcoming and loving. I feel completely comfortable being myself in school because Sacred Heart has taught me that I need to embrace who I am, and that nobody out there is exactly like me. I love the person Sacred Heart has shaped me into, and I will never forget how much the school has positively influenced me while growing up.

Great teachers: all R.S.C.J.s, wonderful, intelligent women. It was a first class education. Still grateful!
