Good for kids
As an adult ballet student and one wants to learn this art properly and hoping to perform one day, I could not recommend Extra Pirouette and the instructor Anastasia more. If you have a similar goal/requirements, you HAVE TO take her classes! Anastasia not only created a classic ballet studio but more importantly, created an environment for dancers to keep progressing the techniques and to keep loving the dance, especially ballet has always been considering a tough dance with very restrict requirements. I started ballet as an adult when I was 27 and took at least 3-4 classes/week at various studios across NYC for almost three years. They are all good and I have learned a lot. However, what I learned from Anastasia is what I would wish to learn when I first started: the real basics, the foundation, the correct muscles to target at the bar. Different from other studios across the City and run group classes with some instructions, Anastasia pay attention to EACH and INDIVIDUAL students and make a great deal effort to CONTINUE teach the right thing and correct us. I find her effort precious and feel grateful. Also her instructions are easy to follow, the speed is not hard to catch, and she design the classes according to the class and the students, where they are and what they need to focus on, so she changes the focuses periodically for the students to improve. And I love all the peer students. All the ladies and gentlemen (yes we do have guys and they are impressive) are adorable and we all embrace the challenges and support each others like a family. No ten-star rating or comment could do the adjustment how happy I am to find Extra Pirouette and Anastasia. And I hope more students find the joy as I have through this beautiful art and join our journeys.

Anastasia is a great teacher with precision. She corrects each student by person. I would highly recommend her regardless of your level. Both beginner and advancers will benefit from her classes!
