Gupshup is a bi-level modern Indian hangout inspired by old Bombay. Chef Gurpreet Singh, prior to joining GupShup was the Corporate Executive Chef of Punjab Grill chain of restaurants in India, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and managed around 16 outlets for the brand. Chef Gurpreet was also the Chef De Cuisine of acclaimed Indian Accent in New Delhi during its inception, and his travels and experience with unique techniques at the same time keeping original flavors brings to New York a distinctly original and modern Indian menu.

Great ambience and very accommodating staff. I’ve been here twice and I can certainly say that the food is good. The cocktails are unique but way too expensive (17). If it weren’t for the prices being so high I would’ve given it a 5 star rating. Overall the vibe is great.

Hands down the best Indian food I've ever had in my life. This is the BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT in NYC !! Absolutely amazing food!! Absolutely fantastic drinks!! A lot of my friends raved about GUPSHUP, so when I checked it out I was more than impressed. The quality of the food is incredible. All the meat dishes were super well cooked, and the flavor here is something you just don't get anywhere else. The ambience is awesome! The vibe is great. Great service, very friendly and very respectful. The decor is extremely beautiful!! One of the best Instagrammable location in New York City I must say! They are very particular about the COVID rules and did a great job setting up tables outdoors to make it covid friendly. Very well heated. A must try and i promise you’ll fall in love with this restaurant!!

I love Gupshup, their food is amazing and the staff is so welcoming. The outdoor setting is so comfortable and they have heaters. Went there with my friends on a Friday evening and I had a really good time. Their modern twist on the Indian dishes is pretty unique. A must try I would suggest is the crispy okras with guacamole. Will definitely come back again !

Gupshup went above and beyond with their dishes and innovative cocktails! I’ve been here a handful of times to try out their cocktails and it’s hard to choose a favorite! The “Hot Like Kohli” with tequila and mezcal and the “Bombay Peacock Society” were probably the highlights for me. They also have hot cocktails like the Old Monk Toddy (YUM!) which saved me from freezing while dining. I enjoyed every dish I ordered but the standout dish that reminded me of home was the Nizaams Haleem that came with various accompaniments. It’s ultimate comfort food with so much flavor! Definitely do yourself a favor and order it. Other faves were the Tandoori Cauliflower, Gupshup Fried Chicken and the Delhi Butter Chicken. The decor here is beautiful and they did a great job with both their indoors and outdoors area. They have heaters and the space is COVID friendly! It was definitely a wonderful experience to dine here!
