The food here is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The flavors are also outstanding. I love ordering their combos and tasting a bunch of different dishes. They have outdoor seating available with both heating and barriers to block any wind. Recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area. Takeout/delivery is also available and just as yummy.

This is a very elegant restaurant. The waiter maneuvers choreographically (like a dancer). He takes care of your progress. The music is light. The heater is warm outside. I always come to treat myself and to slow down and meditate. Especially having that hot tea slowly run down my throat and I am relaxed. Order a combo and you will be very full, even for someone who eats a lot like me.
My favorite Japanese restaurant in East Village, and I am so happy to see them reopen. The staff is always tentative and the food thoughtfully prepared. We usually order unagi (eel over rice), sushi, and homemade soba and the quality has been consistently good. The menu is comprehensive and offers many small plates so I can see this a nice place to hang out with friends. The lunch special and early bird dinner set are bargain. Overall this is a elegant restaurant that outperforms most alternatives at the same price range.
Ordered sushi for delivery from here. No wasabi nor ginger came with it. Never seen any sushi restaurant for this type of service for this price (39). Very disappointing. Also fish quality was terrible for the price. I can find a better fish quality for under 30 for sushi platter. Also the sushi rice tasted horrible and cheap and can’t taste any marination on sushi rice. On top of that, it only comes with a half roll ( I will understand if it tasted like its price) Salmon was so dry. The roll was not divided from sushi and it made the maki all soggy. Just terrible. Can’t explain any better. Felt like it would be only worth it if it was 19.99 dinner platter. Sorry I don’t want to be mean but it was just too bad. Can’t understand how this restaurant can get over 4 stars for this type of quality.
My favorite place for chirashi! Large portions and great taste. Just the proportion of salmon roe and rice was a bit off -- too much salmon roe / too salty for the amount of rice given. Otherwise it's amazing. The picture is their winter special squid ink noodle.
