I have been taking lessons for almost a year now. This is an incredible program, the material taught in class is easy to understand and the teachers are very encouraging. If you want to speak Italian or learn about Italian culture, then I highly recommend taking this course.

Small classes, flexible structure to class depending on what you want to focus on. I love the selected readings. They're challenging but provide great fodder for discussion in class. As an added bonus, the readings provide thoughtful commentary on life that I don't normally encounter in English readings. After studying abroad in Bologna, the Italiano Italia Language School has been a great way to keep the Italian in me alive. I can't wait to return to Italy in part because of the classes. Patrizia and Antonella have been wonderful teachers, and I highly recommend the classes to anyone at any level.

Patrizia’s attention to her students and her enthusiasm in imparting the beauty of her native language to them is the spark that makes Italiano Italia a truly personalized learning experience. Her limitless energy is infectious; classes are always quite lively. In addition, the opportunity to live the language through Roma Romana was a real thrill. Patrizia chose excellent local guides to reveal historic aspects of the city tourists don’t usually see so that throughout these walking tours, we were hearing - and speaking - Italian. Meals taken together featured small, neighborhood restaurants bringing us into contact with everyday Roman life. Once is definitely not enough and I look forward to another trip next year with Italiano Italia.

I started learning Italian with Patrizia here this winter and I couldn't be more glad that I made this decision. I love languages; I've been learning different ones since I was very young and I don't remember ever having enjoyed the learning as much as I do with Patrizia. The classes are small (which I absolutely love) and she customizes them according to our progress, where more work is needed, etc. and I really appreciate that it's not a cookie-cutter approach. Plus, there is a lot of conversation in Italian which means we're not just learning grammar, vocabulary but also how to put it all together, at the same time. And, to top it all, in addition to being a fantastic instructor/teacher Patrizia is a truly wonderful person, good-natured, kind-hearted. She's friendly, patient, funny, and she really keeps the classes interesting and lively. She encourages us to ask questions and ensures that we are left confident and without doubts. I think it's a great learning environment. (Plus, I'm learning more and more about authentic Italian culture, including the food...so I think I'm going to be well-prepared for my next stint in Italy.) I honestly believe this is quite likely the best place for learning Italian in NYC.

This is an excellent place to study a language. The classes are a combination of grammar, reading, and conversation, and it works! I began studying with Patrizia in September 2017, after studying Italian only on Duolingo, and now I'm in a class where we're reading real short stories written by and for Italian people. The class is entirely in Italian, the conversation is interesting, and the people who come are great to study with. It's a high point of my week.
