Best greasy spoon in town. I'm from Jersey, and have been going to great diners all my life. This is up there with the best of them. Great staff who remember you and your order. Start with their unrivaled under 10 burger, and then get hooked on all their breakfast options.

Maybe I had a stupendous craving for a burger and fries because of the lockdown, and Joe Junior ticked the boxes perfectly. Even if not, the burger (medium rare please!) was incredibly juicy, beefy, and the fat did not overwhelm. A plain cheeseburger is almost perfect, perhaps only needing a dash of salt, the toasted sesame delightfully popping in your mouth with every bite. The fries are a triumph and are crunchy but soft on the inside, even after sitting inside a takeout container. And did I mention the price? A must go!
Price isn't to bad. It was busy at lunch but no problem getting a seat. I would definitely go back if in New York again. We arrived tired and hungry but left having had a good meal.
Have to say that I haven’t had an omelette this good in years. Joe Juniors Swiss and Ham omelette is a rich, cheesy experience. Being gluten intolerant I don’t have a lot of breakfast options but this has returned the joy of Saturday breakfast in bed. Thanks Joe!
This place is just fabulous. The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and the atmosphere is very cozy old school New York. We had the burgers, a milkshake, an egg cream, and a stack of chocolate chip pancakes. It was all excellent - the burgers in particular were exceptional! The staff were attentive and just lovely. Really nice people. Highly recommend!
