The owner was incredibly helpful and kind. I called from Atlanta because I needed to find Tabi, but was purchasing for a friend and it was a secret. Long story about that, but basically the owner helped me figure out what would be the best size and fit for my friend, all over the phone! She mailed them to me from New York and they were a perfect! My friend loves them. I highly recommend this store and will be back next time I'm in NYC. :)

I had this Kimono custom made at the Kimono house!
Found what I was looking for here, just in time for the gross and humid NYC summer weather! I scored a beautiful airy linen kimono jacket and pants set. This shop seriously has an array of beautiful (one-of-a -kind) imported pieces. Ya see something here, ya better snatch it! And the shop owner is very kind and sweet:) Unfortunately, businesses like this one are rare and fleeting, losing that New York vibe.. I hope The Kimono House will be with us for another twenty more years at least.

I first visited this place in July 2018, & it was quite an experience: many different kimonos of all shapes and sizes were on sale here, & in various colors/patterns. The store owner, Emiko, is as kind a soul as you can imagine: always helpful in your needs on picking out the best kimono for the right person, & even gives very good discounts/sales that won't hurt one's wallet too much. If you're in Manhattan, check out this place...you'll be REALLY glad you did! ️
